Privacy Policy

MW Daily (mwdaily.energy) is a small, independently-run wind/hydrogen/grid industry site. This page explains what we collect, why, and how it's used — in plain language, not legal boilerplate.

What we collect

  • Email subscribers — your email address, stored so we can send new posts. Never sold or shared with third parties.
  • Account holders — if you create an account (consultant, job seeker, or company), we store your email and the profile details you submit (e.g. role, experience, company info) to run the account and moderate listings.
  • Job and candidate submissions — name, contact details, and the listing content you submit. If you upload a CV/resume or a screenshot to pre-fill a form, it's processed to extract text and then discarded — the file itself is never stored.
  • Project followers — your email and stated interest, used only to notify you about updates to that specific project.

How authentication works

Account sign-in uses passwordless magic links via Supabase. We never see or store a password — clicking the emailed link is what proves it's you.

YouTube integration

MW Daily publishes its own video content to the @mwdailyenergy YouTube channel using Google's YouTube Data API, authorized by the channel owner. This integration only uploads content to that one channel — it does not read, access, or share any other data from the authorizing Google account, and it never acts on behalf of, or accesses data belonging to, any site visitor or user.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, run third-party ad-tracking, or share your information with anyone beyond what's needed to run the site (e.g. our hosting and database providers).
